Holy Cow! It's 2007!
How'd that happen?
I've been busy, but as Winter has come screaming back, I've retreated more and more to the sewing machine. My dad and I even went so far as to make a sewing table, with a scissor channel and inlaid measuring stick and everything. But this is not Sewing Central, this is a place for stone creations-n-things, so let's get on with it. Friend Jill and I went out to Bent Creek on New Year's Eve Eve. She took this photo of me: ![]()

My grandmother down in Georgia had a stroke (she's 88) and I went down to visit her this past weekend. Near the house where she has lived since she and my grandfather bought the farm and 165 acres about 20 miles east of Atlanta in 1940, I did the The Get-Well Grandma Stack: ![]()
Georgia creeks are different from N.C. creeks
She's doing pretty well, I suppose, all things considered.

Speaking of Zach Pine, we spoke on the phone and hope to meet up next month. He's a good guy, and all around the rockpile, the news that he is doing better was well received.
This thing has required a good bit of maintenance: ![]()
Three arches, one rock on ground -- not bad.
I've been thinking more in terms of video lately and have a few in the camera that I need to upload. So far, though, 2007 has been way-cool. The lowly Falcons hired a new coach, for example.
