Accumulated rocks-n-things, Nov. -- Dec., 2005 (10)
In November, I moved from dependent balances to arches. Arches are still the "in" thing around the rockpile. It was also the month I did Stone Serpent, a favorite of Avant Gardeners and Flat-Earthers alike. Don't just look at the thumbs -- they look awful. Click on 'em and see the photos. -
Collected rocks-n-things, Sept.-n-Oct., 2004 (8)
September brought us the floods that followed hurricanes Francis and Ivan. Everything was different after that ... -
Assorted Rocks-n-things, July-n-August, 2004 (7)
In July I got bolder in the River, and found a great boulder to stack on about half a mile downstream from my house. Also got three stitches by forgetting the number one safety rule in rockstacking -- when things start to fall, let them go and run. -
Various Rocks-n-things, May-n-June 2004 (7)
I started doing this in February, 2004. Rocks followed me home to get in on a wall project, and as they waited around for me to stack the wall, they killed the grass. So I started stacking them on top of one another to reduce the dead grass patches. But I just talked to the resulting totems then, I hadn't thought of photographing them. I have several hundred photos, and I'll keep adding them, so come back often.
